Test Point Matrix

In order to create a custom Pogo-Pin Cassette for the printed circuit board of a Device Under Test (DUT), a Test Point Matrix (TPM) should be established, to specify how the PLT-300A test probe and signal rails should be connected to the test points in the cassette.

Test Point Matrix (TPM)

A Test Point Matrix (TPM) is an .XLSX file (Template: .xlsx template) that can be constructed by specifying

  • Acceptance criteria

  • Connected PLT probe signals

  • Connected PLT power signals

for each of the test points in the Test Point List, ensuring that the tests described in the In-circuit Test Plan can be performed with a PLT.

Additional Test Fixture components required in the test fixture should also be identified in the Test Point Matrix (TPM):

  • Barcode scanners and printers

  • HW programmers

  • USB hubs

  • SBCs

  • UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet connections
